Pen-One, Inc. Signs Publisher’s Agreement with PatentBooks, Inc.

Colorado Springs, CO – PatentBooks, Inc. has announced a historic partnership with patent holder Pen-One, Inc. Pen-One owns an exemplary portfolio of 26 US patents (and their foreign counterparts) in the Biometric Identification (BIO-ID) arena. Biometric authentication techniques measure the physiological aspects of humans and therefore are widely considered more secure than traditional 4 or 6 digit passcodes or 9-dot grid patterns. A group of these patents specifically include biometric authentication in wireless devices, which can be implemented as both single and multi-level authentication techniques. Several smart phones in the market from leading manufacturers such as, Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Lenovo, Microsoft etc. implement similar technologies. The BIO-ID Portfolio further includes implementation of biometric identification and authentication in wireless payment services. A user can simply verify his/her identity using biometrics on his/her mobile phone and authenticate a payment transaction at a store. Further, certain patents disclose biometric sensors embedded in the stylus of a wireless device used while conducting payment transactions, thereby enhancing the security levels in wireless payment services.

About PatentBooks:
PatentBooks is a re-envisioning of how patent licensing can work. All the patents used in a specific product or service are aggregated together in a PatentBook and licensed out to the Subscriber (user). The licensing fees paid by the Subscriber are then paid to the Publisher (owner) based on the quality of the patent. By creating peace between Publishers and Subscribers, PatentBooks seeks to end costly, contentious and inefficient litigation. Learn more at patentbooksinc.com.
