Project Manager Job Description

We are looking for Project Managers to be responsible for organizing and overseeing projects for our organization.  You will be tasked with assembling appropriate team members, preparing project cost estimates, reviewing sales proposals, reviewing and approving deliverables, and providing overall supervision to teams on a variety of different projects.  You will also be in charge of developing project budgets and operating plans and writing proposals.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in both team management and project management.  A Bachelor’s degree is recommended.

 

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Organize appropriate teams to meet the customer’s goals and adhere to constraints of the project
  • Assist in developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization
  • Develop budgets and operating plans for projects
  • Assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement upon completion of projects
  • Manage a team with a diverse array of talents, responsibilities, and technical expertise
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including quality, customer satisfaction, and team member performance
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Maintain constant and transparent communication between customer and project team regarding status and issues on services
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of project status throughout its life cycle
  • Work on strategy with the marketing team
  • Travel based upon project and customer needs

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years related experience
  • Understanding of project management processes
  • Competency in Microsoft Office 365 and other cloud-based applications
  • Proven experience managing teams
  • Proven experience interfacing with customers
  • Organizational and time management skills

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience managing projects involving teams of external consultants
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree (business or engineering field is preferred)
  • Knowledge of intellectual property
  • Experience working in a home-based/virtual environment
  • Experience working with international teams/clients
